FAQs
Pool Barrier Inspection FAQs Victoria
Find answers to some of the most common questions about pool barrier inspections, compliance and certification in Victoria.
How often does my pool barrier need to be inspected?
Victorian regulations require pool and spa barriers to be inspected every four years. Once compliant, you’ll need to lodge your Certificate of Barrier Compliance with your local council by the required due date.
How much does a pool barrier inspection cost?
We charge a fixed $250 inspection fee, with no hidden costs and no re-inspection fees if rectification work is required.
What happens if my pool barrier doesn't pass the inspection?
You’ll receive a detailed inspection report explaining what needs to be addressed. Once the required work has been completed, we’ll return to verify the rectifications and issue your Form 23 Certificate when your barrier meets the required standard.
How long does the inspection take?
Most inspections are completed within approximately 45–60 minutes, depending on the size and complexity of your pool or spa barrier.
Do you inspect both residential and commercial pools?
Yes. We provide pool barrier inspections for both residential and commercial properties throughout Melbourne.
